The incident occurred when a Bell 206 L4 helicopter lost control while landing, leading to a devastating crash that resulted in a fatal head injury for the victim. Shortly after, the aircraft caught fire, reducing it to ashes.

According to official reports, the Bell 206 L4 helicopter was conducting operations for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Malaysia’s national electricity company. The helicopter was installing power cables and had stopped near Kuala Lumpur’s Hot Springs for refueling.

During landing, the rotor blades struck the victim's head, causing fatal injuries. Witnesses reported that the helicopter suddenly caught fire, leaving no chance for recovery. The incident happened at around 10:20 AM local time, with emergency services receiving reports 40 minutes later.
